As of 5 pm Oct 19, number of swine flu cases in Mongolia jumped to 52.
The first case in Mongolia was confirmed early last week. Government of Mongolia requested WHO for swine flu vaccine sufficient for 10 percent of Mongolian 2.7 million people.
WHO Director-General Dr. Margaret Chan sent a reply to Government of Mongolia saying " 130.000 dosages of the vaccines sufficient for 2 percent of Mongolian population will be shipped on Nov 9.Mongolia has become one of first five countries to receive the vaccine from WHO".
