Anthrax outbreak in Mongolia

Several animals of herder families living in a place called "Khadan Gol" of Khujirt soum of Uvurkhangai province died of deadly anthrax disease.

Quarantine of the area has been set by the emergency officials of the province which are closely monitoring the situation. There were 2009 cattle, 1484 sheep and goats and 200 people were in the area and all are vaccinated. Nearby herder families and livestock animals are to be evacuated
