I just found out about an art exhibition called " Beyond the Blue Sky" on Gay and Lesbian, Transgender community of Mongolia from VoiceBox TV, a TV program in English that was broadcast on Mongolian National TV last Saturday (Aug 1).The program was presented by Australian Goodwill Ambassadors. This particular one was presented by Miranda, an australian girl. The link of the program is here. http://www.vimeo.com/5585497
The thing is that the exhibition was held in early July.I just knew about it one month later from this program. My knowledge about these communities in Mongolia are very limited.
According to the TV program, opening of the exhibition was attended by some 200 people. From well known figures attended the exhibition, i was able to recognize Ms.Oyungerel Tsedevsamba, Social Policy Advisor of President Elbegdorj Tsakhia and Singer Ms.Naran, Altan-Urag folk-rock group, Ms.Mongoldei, music program presenter and daughter of well-known artist Tsatsral. If I knew about the exhibition, I could have written a story. But it is too late.. So no opinion about these so-called underground communities in Mongolia.
