IFC to reform Business Inspection Service of Mongolia

International Finance Corporation (IFC), a financial investment arm of the World Bank, launched Mongolia Business Inspections Reform Project.The objective of the project is to improve the business climate in Mongolia by making it easier and less costly for businesses to comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements for inspections and permits.

As first stage of the project, IFC selected MEC LLC through competitive bidding, to do nationwide survey of businesses.MEC LLC is to interview 1000 top officials and CEOs of businesses throughout Mongolia from every sector and assess impressions about Business inspection Services of Government of Mongolia. The Business Inspection service in Mongolia is provided by General Agency of Specialized Inspection, a government agency. All permits and licenses for business operations are issued by this agency.
