| Opening ceremony for the PM’s Twitter site |
Prime Minister S.Batbold opened an official TWITTER account, allowing him to communicate openly with citizens.
On December 3, an award ceremony was held for the Best bloggers of the country. The Head of the Cabinet expressed confidence that through ‘Twitter’, he has gotten plenty of good text messages from young people. He advised business people to develop this initiative and reflect it in Government policy. Immediately after citizens discovered his blog, the Prime Minister received a lot of queries, so he promised to specifically carve out ample time to personally reply to these questions.
The organizers of this event calculate that “blogging is a form of public relations that will create wealth through knowledge”. In this context, web-based personalities have become among the most active links on the Internet. To date, thousands of bloggers have exchanged their views in Mongolia through personal home
pages.
