Purevdorj Serdamba of Mongolia beat Russia's David Ayrapetyan 10:5 to win the light-flyweight world title here on Saturday at the AIBA World Boxing Championships 2009, which is being held in Milan, Italy from September 1 to 12.
P.Serdamba (48kg), who is silver medalist of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, won Hovhannes Danielyan (Armania) with 6:4 score, Jiazhao Li (China) with 11:7 score.
Purevdorjiin Serdamba who is 24 years old is a Mongolian amateur boxer.
Other two Mongolian boxers N.Togstsogt (51kg) who is 17 years old hav won silver and U.Monkh-Erdene (64kg) have won bronze medal.
