Prime Minister of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh met with Chairman of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Hiroyuki Ishige in Tokyo on Thursday.
They discussed implementation of the Mongolia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement.
Ishige said training of Mongolian engineers in Japan is a priority matter. As of 2017, the number of Mongolian students in Japan was 2,517, which is a big number considering the nation’s population.
In addition, Ishige stressed that Japanese enterprises face some difficulties while doing business in Mongolia and asked the Prime Minister to pay attention to it, Montsame reported.
Prime Minister Khurelsukh said that Mongolian government pays huge attention to protection of investors’ interest and working to establish Trade Representative Office in Tokyo in order to provide foreign investors with comprehensive investment information and create more favorable conditions for doing business.
Prime Minister expressed willingness to cooperate closely with JETRO on implementation and efficiency improvement of the Economic Partnership Agreement, which took effect in June 2016.
